Stranger Things Finale Sets Massive Theatrical Release

Fan Event Grows to 620 Locations Across North America

The highly anticipated Stranger Things series finale is coming to the big screen in a much larger event than initially planned. What started as a rollout to 350 locations has now expanded to a massive 620 theaters across the United States and Canada.

Event Dates and Expanding Footprint

The special theatrical screenings are scheduled for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Fans can attend the event on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. The expansion was confirmed by the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, via an Instagram announcement.

Overwhelming Fan Demand Drives Growth

The event's rapid growth highlights the immense popularity of the Netflix series. When reservations opened in early December, the number of participating theaters had already increased to 500. The continued addition of venues, now reaching 620, points to overwhelming fan demand for this unique viewing experience.

The Duffer Brothers' announcement confirms that this will be one of the largest simultaneous theatrical events for a streaming series finale, offering a communal way for fans to celebrate the conclusion of the epic story.
